Malachi began his journey after picking up the viola when he was eight years old, then composing his first string orchestra piece at thirteen. Malachi majored in Screen Scoring Music Composition at NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. He is currently attending USC’s Screen Scoring Master’s program. He has worked with game developers and local filmmakers to compose music and sound design for their projects. His music has been performed by the Budapest Symphony Orchestra. Malachi’s work seamlessly blends classical training with modern creativity, crafting enchanting compositions for video games and other media.
Malachi’s main focus in the world of audio design is games, where he is able to take advantage of middleware’s transformative potential to realize dynamic soundscapes. Malachi was selected as the 2023 inaugural Game Audio Diversity Alliance (GADA) GameSoundCon Scholar, and 2025 Game Developer’s Conference Scholar. His experience includes 2023 Playcrafting sponsorship winner Signal Creek, Dirty Work, and many other indie projects.
